What is it about arts and crafts stores?!They are evil I tell you. I think they are secretly an evil entity, designed to suck the money from your wallets and purses, through sheer manipulation!! How else can you explain going in for some Glue Dots, Plastic sleeve pages and a few stickers, and leaving having spent $60!!! A.C. Moore is out to get me I tell you!! I want everything IN IT!! Everything is displayed to show me that it NEEDS me, it WANTS to belong to me. It calls to me "Wendy, buy me! I would be SO fun to make and put it the house! Don't leave me here! Look, if you buy 4 of me, you get a CANDLE free!!!" Seriously...evil.
I mean sure, stickers are the hardest aisle for me, they have so many amazing stickers now, 3-D and such, perfection for certain special occasions. BUT I am not made of money so unless the sticker sheet is so amazing I HAVE to have it, I tend to not let myself get the stickers that are more than $2. Today I mostly got the $1 ones so I was proud and for every 2 you bought, you got one free...that probably screwed me a little bit. It has to in some way. Because I got more than I was planning on...because of this special sale...hmmm. I got my sleeves, check. I got my Glue Dots...but it was buy 2 get 1 free, so I am like Yeah, I needed 2 anyways...but I have no idea what they usually cost so I could have been an idiot again. Then there were the background papers...they had the BIG stacks of ones on DISPLAY! This is where I fell. I saw a $20 set that looks distressed no matter the background and I HAD to have it. And then they had these Humor vellum stacks...I have NO idea WHAT vellum is but the sayings were SO cute I bought it. 7 bucks and it only has 30 sheets and it is 4" by 6" so I feel like I spent a lot but I could not STOP myself. I knew then, GET OUT Wendy, GET OUT NOW!!! So I took my 60 dollars worth of stuff, paid and ran out of there before I had soap making kits and painting projects until I was 80 in my cart!! Phew! WHAT is vellum?! I don't even know how to APPLY it...is it sticky when wet or something? Is it just see through paper? Did I spend money on see through paper when I could JUST have written it myself?!! Agghhh!!!
Did the 15 Minute Dance Off the Inches again tonight with Sam, I do DO hate to sweat, yuck! While I was finishing my shower I felt hypoglycemia coming on. As I went to my room to change I asked Sam to get me PB on bread and milk, which she was so nice to do. It took everything IN me o get dressed. And then the sucky thing that can happen after you are hypoglycemic sometimes happened. I felt so weak I couldn't move for almost an hour, I sat on my loveseat and just marvelled at the fact that my body was a jellyfish, because I wasn't even sitting up, I was a listless mass of Wendy slumped there. I HATE that! It sucksssssssss!
I also shopped at Target today, did some special shopping, got my Mom a card for Sunday....still have no idea what to get her, and she is NOT helping. I don't want anything, just dinner made for me. Well she will have that but I have to get something, she is the best Mom ever!! Agghh! I got a Pepsi Icee which makes me gleeful, an Icee isn't carbonated so I can have my much missed beloved Pepsi!! Now if they would just have Cherry Pepsi I would be in Heaven!! Or Dr. Pepper...ooohhhh! I missed Lie to Me tonight which pisses me off, now I will have to watch it online which isn't that hard but still, I set it all up but I didn't get my soaps Or Lie To Me, luckily I noticed this at 8:42 so I didn't miss taping Lost and The Unusuals! Phew!! Again!! I am lucky to have found a user who posts ABC's soaps daily on Youtube, so I am off (yeah you knew that, haha) to watch them! TTFN!!

9 meaningful meanderings:
vellum is just see thru paper. I'm a sucker for vellum even though it's kinda hard to apply. I wish it was sticky when wet! Haha. But you have to buy special vellum tape or apply it with brads cuz regular tape and glue dots show thru the paper and look silly. But I LOVE vellum quotes and phrases! It looks really good once you figure it out. But I laughed with the post cuz I'm the exact same way!! I can't go in craft stores period. There's so much cute stuff and I want to do and make everything!!
Places that sell whatever you're interested in do that to people. People who love crafts go in to craft shops for an item or two, then come out with a few bags of stuff. People who love clothes shopping go in looking for a new top for a get together on the weekend or something, but end up buying at least two or three complete outfits (that's if they say they didn't see much they liked). And so on. It's a pain, but it's a great trick of the shops owners. I mean, it works almost every time!
I do well in a craft store so long as I stay out of the plasters & paints and the needleworks sections.
My bike is set up downstairs near a samll desk we have set up for the lap top. I've taken to making sure I have a glass of juice and an apple on the desk before I ride for just that same reason. No, I've never been diagnosed as diabetic...although it does run in both sides of the family. Woe as me if they ever do because my body does NOT handle glucophage very well at all.
I went into Michael's yesterday for yarn and stayed FAR away from the sticker aisle!! They are amazing now-days though. I just started scrapbooking in January. I've spent hundreds I'm sure!
AC Moore and Michael suck money right out of our pockets. Even my hubby cant resists over-buying when we are there. Then we sit with unfinished projects, lol
oh...and I gave you an award...stop by to get it.
I LOVE craft stores.
I have to stay out of the fabric section in craft stores. I always end up rummaging through remanents for way, way too long.
And now I want an Icee! Ungh!
Wow you people are losers. You take the money your husbands earn and spend it on worthless junk so some rich guys pockets stay fatter than your asses!!
