Sugar Doll!

Thank you so much to Sheri who gave me the very cool Sugar Doll Award! I love this name!! LOL!

And now to list 10 things about myself:
1. I am a notorious nail biter and somehow, in the last year, I picked up biting my lips, which I absolutely HATE, but cannot stop myself.

2. I have become claustrophobic in the last few years and have a hard time being on airplanes for even 2 hours.

3. I can see what is going on in the heads of other people, feelings, thoughts, etc, but I can't figure out what I am feeling or thinking most of the time.

4. I am now officially addicted to potato and cheese perogies. SO yummy!

5. I am not over my fear of driving or cars. It has been over 2 months since the accident but I still tense up at the sight of headlights. Ugh.

6. I have a stuffed pig named Christopher and I do indeed fall asleep in my bed holding onto him, my arms feel weird not holding onto anything. SHUT UP, :p!

7. I get so depressed never getting anything real in the mail, so when I do, like Yaya sending me mixed cd's, it makes my whole day.

8. I really find it hurtful when people make fun of my germaphobia. I am not doing it to get out of dishes or to get my own drink or snack, it really freaks me out, and bothers me. And all I can think about is washing my hands or sometimes needing a shower just to FEEL clean again.

9. I am a contradiction in many ways. One is that I am SUCH a homebody, but if I am stuck in the house too long I climb up the walls. So I want to be home, but I can't handle being closed up for too long. Errands even, alleviate that feeling.

10. I have a thing about feeling left behind or lost I guess you would really say. If I am supposed to be with someone and can't find them or get ahold of them, I start to panic.

And pass this on to 10 bloggers:

  1. Izzy at Izzy's Insanity
  2. The Boob Nazi at How Could You Not?!
  3. mama-face at Blog-Ignoramus
  4. Just So at Just So
  5. Sarah at That's What She Said!
  6. Connie at The Sexy Rays
  7. Mary at Mary the 1st I am, I am
  8. Toriz at Torizworld
  9. Denise at Sunflowers, Chocolate and Little Boys
  10. Amanda at AJQ

Award Fabulous!!

I admit I had to EDIT this award in order to post it, but I thought it was hilarious so I edited it and am posting it. If you want the normal award pic, it is on Sarah's blog, who is the person who gave it to me! Thanks Sarah!! Yes I hate curse words, but thanks to Paint Shop Pro I can accept this with no guilt! LOL!

So the rules of this bad boy are to list five things I am currently obsessed with and then tag five people with the award...I think those are the rules.

1) I am currently obsessed with finding new bands that I like. I am using Pandora like crazy. I think I found a really good new band, they are called Hawk Nelson, and I spent hours downloading as many of their songs as I could. Have I listened to them all? Heck no, I have listened to like 3 of the 35 or so I downloaded but I like their sound. So even as we speak Pandora is playing, in hopes I can find some new gems! I have found quite a few fave bands through Pandora, you should really give it a try!

2) I am currently obsessed with Hannah Montana. I know, I should bury my head! But there is almost nothing on TV and I loved the movie, I admit it, so I began watching episodes on TV and then Online, so I am a bloody Hannah fan now! Don't think little of me, she can be very addicting and she and Emily Osment ARE adorable and funny!

3) I am currently obsessed with taking pictures. I know I always love taking pictures but my new camera got in and I haven't even gotten far in the manual, but I figured out how to take close ups and have been taking closeups of like everything. I have cookies, eggs, bottles, just anything that appears pretty to me. It is a sickness but I LIKE this sickness, I want to get out to places to find even cooler things to take close ups of! Here are a few actually. Don't mock them please, I never said I was GOOD.4) I am currently obsessed with peaches. I am buying them as much as possible. It drives me crazy having to wait for them to ripen, but once they do, it is heavenly! Just smelling them when they are ready to be eaten has me loving the peach scent again and I went and found my little travel sized scent of it. It is not as good as an actual peach's though! Ahhh I am so buying a BUNCH when I go shopping!!

5) I am currently obsessed with movies...hey okay it is a constant obsession but it is current too! I am prepared to watch 2 right now! And I am in the mood to watch a bunch I own right now too. Too bad time doesn't work the way I want it too. Just let me feel awake for like 100 movies...no? Darn it, I have to CHOOSE!

Okay the 5 people I am passing this onto are:

1) Julie aka The Boob Nazi at How Could You Not?
2) Lee at Perpetual Burn
3) Alicia aka Yaya at Yaya Stuff
4) Ramona at Better Than We Deserve
5) Sherri at Sheri's World

I read them all every day, or when they post I should say. So you could say I am currently obsessed with them! LOL! Ooooooohhh. Heehee! These five ladies are amazing and really share themselves on their blogs so they deserve the award, if they so choose to accept it.

I ♥ Nia!! and Awards

Tonight I went to a 10pm showing of Nia Vardalos's new movie, My Life in Ruins. Any Nia fans out there know that her two other films, My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Connie & Carla, were hysterical, so could this new movie live up to her former glory? YES, yes it can and did! It was hilarious and man that hairy dude is HOT once he starts shaving and then when he cuts his hair, holy crap, she found the motherload!!

As the credits started, being the movie geek I am, I noted "Hey Look!! Ian Gomez is in the movie!", which drew blank stares from my sisters. I was like, "her real life husband...he was Javier in Felicity...ring ANY bells?". It can be lonely when you are the only movie buff in the theater! *sighs* They did recognize him when he showed up in the movie, and it was so funny, because he is so slimy in it and you want to gag, but she is in love with HIM in real life! LOL!

Anyway, the story follows Georgia, a history professor who lost her job after moving to Greece a year ago. She has been working for a tour bus company and is the least popular tour director as she is spouting of all facts and no fun. So she gets the crappy bus, the d-list tourists, and now a new driver who she decideds speaks no English and is a scary hairy man that gives her the creeps. Her tourists include Richard Dreyfuss who is phenomenal in this movie. He is so funny, and you think he is SO obnoxious at first, until his secret is revealed and he ends up being Georgia's sounding board, and pushes her to live life. You've got the weirdo who is a big wig for IHOP and collects vinatge syrup, the noisy Americans(hey!), the unintelligle Aussies (hey hey!!) who are never without a beer, the old people, which includes old lady clepto, who just miraculously has souveneirs for everybody ALL the time! ROFL! And a myriad of other colorful characters who are going to teach this uptight Georgia how to live life and love it too. And of course they have to give the gorgeous "hairy beast" such an unforgettable name. His nickname, to shorten his first name is Poopie...yup really. So when the tourists say they'd rather call him by his last then...yeah his last name is Kakas. Poopie Kakas. If you don't get it...I am sorry. Truly. So I LOVED this movie and now it makes me wanna go find Connie & Carla!! If you missed that one, RENT it!!! Nia and Toni Collette pretend to be drag queens to be safe from bad guys and they end up headlining a drag show, and HOLY CRAP! Their voices are amazing!! It is so freaking hilarious, especially when Nia falls for David Duchovny, who thinks she is a man! It is so good!!

Elsewhere, I had an anger attack. Those relatives that crossed the line are just driving me mad. I feel sick just thinking about them, and am not interested in what they want, not anymore. I don't even like to think about THEM, so the fact that they were brought up, just festered inside of me without me even realizing it, until I had to get that anger out. I am calmer now, but it just reinforces that even thinking about them right now is too much for me. They are not good for my mental health.

I watched Defiance the other night, don't remember if I brought it up and it was amazing. And the fact that it IS a true story just made it that much more powerful. Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber were magnificent in it, as two of the four Bielski brothers who survived the Jew massacres and hid in the forest for over 2 years, taking in more and more Jews, and not only hiding, but fighting the enemy to survive. In the end, they ended up saving over 1200 Jews. It would have been even more too, but they lost MANY to typhus and the winter and fighting the Germans. And when they disbanded, these brothers never asked for acknowledgement or any recognition. They just did it, and no one was turned away. They took the young and the oldest of the old, and Tuvia, the brother who led them, told them everyone was equal. Women were talk to be soldiers as well as young children. They had to do everything they could to survive. They ended up making a community that took care of itself. And the story was amazing. And while watching to trailers before it I saw a really long one for Benjamin Button, so today I got it from Redbox and am going to watch it once this post is done. It looks very interesting, though I am worried about how it will end. Anyway if you want to see the human spirit at it's finest, Defiance is a movie to watch. Like when I watched The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, it brings the Holocaust to life for those who didn't experience it firsthand, etc. And it makes you wonder, how on Earth people can do such things to another, but it did happen and it just makes you FEEL. It is hard to explain. You feel closer to that event in history and it enrages you to think of what those people went through, and that you can't change history for them. It is just amazing. Really.

I also got two awards from my friend Sheri at Sheri's World!

Neno's Award

the aims of this award:

* don't forget to notify the award receivers and put their links in your post.

Thanks to In Time Out at by the hair of my chinny chin chin for the award!! What she wrote made me smile and a little weepy!

Why do I love Blogging?

Well first off, I had no idea I would end up loving Blogging. I thought I would try it, and like many things before, I would be bored within a few tries and get nowhere, so I'd just forget about it. But instead, I began finding many people who I had a lot in common with. A LOT of fellow Mormons and that wasn't even on purpose, that just strangely happened, but is very nice to have that in common. And so I fell in love.

Why I love blogging is pretty easy. I can be myself, express myself, and not worry (well not too much) that I will make a fool of myself. I am free to BE me in my little blog. I threw caution to the wind and decided to be brutally honest about myself, the problems I face, and I have gotten advice and support and friendship, what is not to love? I finally found a medium, where it is okay to be me, because I know I am not alone, that other people feel the same ways I have or do, and no one is judging. I like that.

I like being able to pour out my feelings, whether good or bad, and it not only gives me a sense of release, expressing those feelings, but when someone leaves a sweet comment, it warms my heart and sometimes starts the healing of an open wound. I have often felt like when I speak no one listens, but for some reason, HERE, when I write, people do hear me, they don't brush aside my remarks, they read them and respond. Blogging has been helpful to me. Almost like a form of therapy, because I am not hiding in my shell, which I am so good at, I am standing outside my shell, shouting my feelings for the whole world to see and read. And the fact that I have found some really wonderful people, who I consider friends, and who consider ME a friend, it is just amazing. That is why I love blogging, it has helped me and given me the precious gift of friends.

I have SO many people who deserve this award, but to put them ALL down, and link to them would take me hours, so I will list 6. And I invite anyone who reads this to go out and give this award to someone who deserves it.

1)Whitney of Mr. & Mrs. Potatohead
Whitney is just an amazing girl, full of spirit and she makes me smile with her sweetness.
2)Mary of Mary the 1st I Am, I Am
Mary is just someone who keeps on trucking, and shares the journey to her destinations with humor.
3)Lee of Perpetual Burn
Lee is an amazing girl who makes me laugh and cry, I feel as if I have known her since she was born.
4)Kristina of Pulsipher Predilictions
Kristina is one of the kindest people I know. She is also the most bizarre and funny girl I have yet to meet.
5)Marie of The Rayce River & Sisters Company
Marie is brutally honest with her feelings, experiences and past, and she makes you smile along with her.
6)Alicia at Yaya Stuff
I think Alicia/Yaya is one of the strongest people I know. She has had so many things thrown into her path, but she doesn't give up on life, she keeps on living it and will be rewarded for her endurance, I just know it.
