Last night I did some online retail therapy. I need to save some money...well plenty, for when all my shows come out on dvd, but I have like all summer in most of the cases, so I fell mostly not guilty. I bought 2 Nintendo DS games from Ebay, Unsolved Crimes and CSI: Dark Motives. They look like my kind of game. I am not into racing games or shooter games. I like games that make you think (Professor Layton and The Curious Village), use dexterity (Super Mario), use your eyes (Mystery Case Files, etc are hidden object games), etc. So after going over like 250 games, I have a list of about 10 I want, and these two, were two of them...obviously.LOL. SO they seem really intriguing and fun, and I got them at good prices, inclusing S+H they were like $20 each.
I am expecting something I preordered while in Florida, any day now. I saw the movie "Ten Inch Hero" when I rented it from Blockbuster but no one sold it yet. SO I preordered it and it's tee that the cast wore too. My Jensen Ackles was in it, sporting colored mohawks and nose rings, etc. It was so hilarious! Sure, there was one or two scenes unneccesary, but I loved it overall. It reminded me of Empire Records which is another favorite movie of mine, so FUNNY (watch it if you have never seen it: Renee Zelwegger, Anthony Lapaglia, Liv Tyler, etc)! Happy Rex Manning Day!! No one ever knows what I am talking about when I say that. Boo! Anyway, I am SO ready for it to be here and it's not...great I am sounding whiny in words, I will stop now.
I also ordered 2 online albums. Like I care if I get the actual cd, I just load it onto itunes and ditch it somewhere. I had hoped to find these two cd's at the Virgin Megastore in Florida, this store is SO huge and I was pretty pissed when they had neither, so last night I bought their mp3 counterparts and am so glad I did. I haven't really gotten to listen to much of the album by Kumi yet, Kumi was originally two sisters who toured and recorded as, Talitha and Acacia. They have cool unique voices though so I have very high hopes from the snippets I have heard.
I am loving the album by Rosi Golan. Her voice is so pretty and her music so lovely, I actually fell asleep to her while I was waiting for my Mom, her voice was like a lullaby.
I went back to the chiro today, it was the same as Tuesday, though he was really stressing NO sitting, I can use a recliner but only if it is reclined. He was stressing how he wanted me to put as little strain on my head and neck as possible. Saturday night that will be hard. I am going with Kat to 2 gigs she has, very far apart, but I figure I will bring my IPOD and DS and a bunch of pillows and recline in the seat. I haven't seen her pro dance in a while so it should be fun, maybe I will get some good stories too! LOL! Oh and guess what? What Not To Wear got back to Gina about Katie (she doesn't read this, no worries, especially in the last month of classes for the semester, she is NOT gallivanting all over the internet for fun), they sent Gina a questionairre like show size, etc. Holy Crap, that would be so weird, but seriously, Katie is gorgeous, you guys have seen the pics I have posted, yet when she is not dresses for a pro gig, she dresses like a bag lady. She wears clothes that were mine pre surgery!! So Katie who can wear clothess from juniors, is wearing a sweatshirt that is a 3x, and pants that are falling down and showing her underwear, they were mine like 8 years ago and they have lost the drawstring and I was like a size 28 but yeah it just rocks on a size 10!! NOT! I swear though, she has SOME pretty stuff, I am gonna take it and hide it now so they don't toss them, 5k is not that much when they MAKE you shop at stores where jeans are 200 bucks! And WE bought these things or made her buy them, they are not being tossed I say!
Oooh and my other online retail therapy item got in the other day. I found a scent I LOVED at Bath and Body Works in Florida, but they had none of the perfumes left. It is something like Il De Tahiti, I like the Tiare Flower one, it smells like the beach but with more, it is so pretty, I am in love!

Chiropractic Solutions
So I went and saw my chiropractor, and man I had so much paperwork to fill out. I also could tell it had been WAY too long since I had been there because when he walked into the room and had all gray hair, I was like WHAT THE...?!! I swear he had all brunette-ness last time I saw him and I don't think it was that long ago!
He asked a lot of questions, but wanted to exam me, which essentially meant, he hurt me. I know, I know. He had to press areas and find out how much pain it caused me to tell how bad it was, and had to press certain areas REALLY flippin' hard to tell where he needed to work on me, but holy crap! It hurt so bad. I told him my headache was a 6 out of 10, and my neck pain was a 9 out of 10, so I could only tell him to lighten his touch if it was above a pain level of 6! And it was, a lot of the time, but he was quite pleased. I know he's no sadist, and really loves his work, so it was all about how he is positive he can help me. He wants me back on Thursday, and told me I can walk and I can lay down, but I am not supposed to sit. Yeah, that is hard to do. He told me since my head felt too heavy for my neck and all the places I felt pain the most, that sitting only puts more pressure on the pain, and I need to avoid aggravating it. SO I write to you now, as I did last night too (sorry thought last nights post was enough for one night), laying on the couch with my laptop in duh, my lap, but it is hard to type like this and difficult on my muscles, so this bites. But as it was the only way I could convince the 'rents I could still go online, I will suffer through it. Hey, at least I don't have to participate in yard work this weekend. I may be able to walk but he said no hunching over, so I am pretty sure picking up bloody sticks from the yard counts as pressure on my neck, so one good thing came from all of this...I HATE picking up sticks!
So I will be at the chiro or well...here...laying on my back for 2 weeks. That is when he thinks it will be better. And as for the migraines, he thinks they could all go away forever maybe, but if not, he has a migraine clinic going on...yay for me. I do love Dr.S, he is so nice and jovial, you couldn't hate him if you wanted to, and I love to hate doctors, so yeah, he is THAT nice. I am really sick of doctor appointments though. In the last week and a half, I have been to my regular doctor, my nuerologist, the hospital for a catscan, my psychiatrists', and now my chiropractor. And I have to see him Thursday.
He ended up cracking some stuff and my head felt decent, and then he did the therapy where electrodes are placed on my neck and a hot towel over those and he turns it as far up until it hurts and turns it back down to before it hurt, and I sit there for 15 minutes. But the nurse didn't offer me a pillow so my face had to go in the hole and that hurt my jaw and forehead and I ended up leaving with my headache back in full force and feeling really tired. My Mom wants him to do the electrodes first next time and then adjust me, because I had been feeling decent until the face squish.LOL! I have such a diverse vocabulary!!

Trauma-rama
So last night was a bad night for me, had a nuclear meltdown, before, during and after, foolishly trying to color my hair on my own. The only thing I will say about the meltdown is, it was ugly, it hurt me, I lashed out, and it took a lot out of me and anyone else involved. It was not a good night, and I could not make myself get online to even check my email.
So, I got it into my OCD mind that my hair HAD to be dyed LAST night. Before I went grocery shopping I asked Sam, if she would color it for me if Mom was too busy. And she agreed , like I could have shopped quicker or eaten faster than I did! Oy! But I needed my hair re-dyed at the beginning of the month, and it was now the middle, so I was not about to wait any longer!
So I gathered my hair dye, crappy clothes and towels and went into the main bathroom. I figured I would need a big mirror to see what I am doing. But once my glasses come off, I cannot really see a thing! And I know how the dye usually feels in my hair, how saturated it feels and this was NOT happening. And as my Mom pointed out when I saw her later, my hair is so thick, when she dyes it for me she really works it in, and that my hair could probably use at least 1 1/2 boxes each time I dye it. So I waited the 25 minutes, feeling like I was going to throw some cookies and then crawled in the shower. I am trying the RED-red again, even though I don't feel it on the inside, I think the time of year is calling for some fierce color. Doing this bright shade, not only do I have to rinse until clear, I have to use their rinsing shampoo twice and then the conditioner, so it was like 45 minutes, and tiring. Wet it seemes okay. But I knew even then, I was never going to do my hair alone again, it was way too stressful! And then as it began to dry, it seemed pretty good, until I looked close in the mirror. It was all even for the most part, but that lil bit of hair around your ears, that isn't really even hair, it is like patch hair, was still light, light blondishy, from being bleached in the Florida sun, and as a professional hair tucker....okay I just always tuck my hair behind my ears, it's what I DO.
So I freaked, and dried my hair fully and broke out the spare box I am lucky enough to have, ans started the process all over. This time I used the kitchen sink and got soaked as the water went everywhere. I was so upset, I was just hoping, pleaseeeeee let it all be done and RED!! I decided as upset and tired as I was I was going to blow dry my hair to see if I got it all this time and hallelujah it was all fiery red! Even redder than the first time, so it is like my hair said, I am going to try and HELP you get happier, so here, BE red! I was worried later that it was too red, yet I really like it!!
So after all that trauma and drama, my hair is back to it's favorite color, flaming red!

NCIS Easter
Well I didn't have frozen pizza, I had frozen perogies. Mmmm. My new favorite food, they are by Mrs. T I think? Which it sure is a good thing I found a new fave, because one of my faves, a frozen food I rely on, because I like it and it never bothers my stomach, is GONE. Jose Ole took away their mini chicken and cheese burritos, I am ticked!! They were so good. This happens ALL the time to me! I loved Colonial mild hot dogs, gone. I loved Weaver chicken roll, gone. I loved Weaver chicken croquettes, gone. I loved Chicken Tonight, gone. Everything I love ends up disappearing from the shelves!! It sucks people! Anyway, we ate perogies, got to hear all about how my cousins decided (since Auntie had to stay late for church she let her daughters be in charge of Easter dinner) to serve dinner buffet style. I am SO glad I had other reasons for missing this. Buffet? And you were lucky if you got a tv dinner tray?! No thank you, Easter is formal thank you very much, just like Thanksgiving. You gather all this family together, you don't split them up by having them find seats all over the place. Psssshhhh. I am really sad that I did not get to meat my cousin Rebecca's new boyfriend. I haven't met anyone she has liked for ever, since I was a kid I think. And my cousin Charles brought his girlfriend, so I am bummed I missed the family stuff.
My Mom has recently decided she likes NCIS so we watched the first two episodes of Season 1. I, myself, didn't get the lure until just after season 4 finished. I had seen a few epsiodes over the last few years because my Dad was obsessed and after one particular one, I was intrigued and wanted to know what happened. So, after much pain in the backside from my library, I got my hands on the first two seasons....and fell in love! I couldn't get any copies of season 3 or 4, so I began watching really BAD copies online...just as my Dad started getting the seasons as presents. I got him Season One, and by the time I was DONE, watching crappy copies of Season 3 and half of 4 online, he had them on DVD. So I got to see the last 8 epsiodes of Season 4 on dvd, thank goodness! I was HOOKED by the end of Disc 2 of Season 1. Gibbs, Tony, Abby, Ducky, etc, they were all friends I looked forward to seeing. And as Ziva and McGee, etc came along, I loved them too. So when Season 5 premiered I was watching it regularly just like my Dad. Sandy got hooked AFTER Dad started receiving the series on DVD, so I saw them first though (so there Sandy!) and was so dedicated I waited for episodes to slowly upload online and watch crappy copies just to know what happened next. I wasn't about to wait a month for my Dad's birthday to arrive to see the next epsiode, I was raring to go!
So I have been a VERY loyal viewer since, and never miss an epsiode. If that ever happens where my vcr or dvr doesn't tape, I am online looking for a site ASAP. My most favorite episode is "SWAK", the epsiode right before Kate is killed. It really displays Tony (Michael Wetherly) and is SO good, I love the interaction between the characters. When they are all in the contamination showers and Gibbs knows what honey dust is...well it is just priceless, the looks on the others faces! LOL! SO this is why I am always making references, like I slapped my Dad upside the head a la Gibbs. It is an NCIS thing.
So my Mom wanting to start seeing them from the beginning? I am SO there! I can watch these over and over! Seeing Abby as she first appeared, learning the Gibbs' "rules" all over, hearing Tony talk movies, it is all just priceless and amuses me time after time! So it ended up being a very good Easter, though it felt more like a regular lazy Sunday evening than an Easter evening.
We helped Katie with part of her projects for OTA school, that are due in a few weeks. Wow, that is a LOT of material! And I am hoping to find some good images to bring some life to these "notebooks" of information. It is all just so dry, this information, it needs some creativity! So after I scan my google reader I am off (very funny!) to look for images. I hope you all had a great day. My tummy is quite happy with potato and cheese perogies and cucumbers in it. Mmmm.
