Sorry

Percocet makes me sleepy and loopy. Just so you know. Mom went into ER today as she wouldn't be checked out that day, but she has been getting worse and she was in the BACK seat, so it was weird. Good thing though. Bruised ribs and bad spasms, so not allowed to return to work until Friday. Worried this accident is going to ruin the start of the holidays. Been sleeping so much and Dad is in pain now, and he and Kate get the decorations down. What a crappy anniversary it was. Having the accident repeat over and over in my head, is making me cry. I WILL tell you about it when I am not still in such pain and so very tired and feel like screen is moving. I feel so bad I am not posting, like I failed in my blogging pledge. It is just so hard to do much of anything. Sandy is taking over errands for me this week, I am just too tired and in pain. Anyone know how to get the images OUT of ones brain, so it stops scaring me?post signature

I've been thinking about you. You don't need to apologize. We'll all be here when you're feeling better. I was in an accident as a teenager and I know exactly what you mean about the whole scene being on auto-replay in your brain. Especially the crashing sound. That used to give me shivers for months afterward. I can't remember how long it took to stop effecting me so much, but it eventually faded away. But not completely. I'm still, to this day, 12 years later, an extremely cautious driver at intersections.

I'm sorry you're all still suffering so much, and that it's spoiling the start of the holidays for you.

I have no idea how to remove unpleasant experiences from the mind - be they images, sounds, or whatever - but I'm begging you... If you find out how, PLEASE tell me!

In the meantime...

Don't worry about the blogs. You getting rest and getting better is much more important. The blogs will still be here when you're feeling more able to blog. Just rest, try and think of happy things (yeah, I know, easier said than done, but try anyway) and don't worry about us!

*Hugs*

P.S. It's not up yet, but I'll be posting an award for you later! :)

Just take care of yourself, Wendy. I used to feel like I had to blog all the time, but truthfully, it was pressure I was putting on myself. No one else was begging me to blog everyday.

Life happens.

Don't worry about us. Just worry about getting better!

Being in an accident is scary. We rolled our jeep on the highway when my daughter was just barely 5 months old. Just a couple weeks before I got pregnant with my son.

It still scares me to think about, and it's been almost three years now.

It takes time. :)

Blogging breaks are GOOD!!!

Don't put pressure on yourself that others aren't.

The only way I know how to get something out my head is to replace it with something else. Perhaps you have a favorite movie scene or song - and if you play it over and over - you can drown out the bad...

Oh geez I don't even know. I've only ever been in very minor accidents, and they still come back to me sometimes. I'm sorry, Wendy :( I hope it stops soon!

Don't worry about not blogging much. Just try to get better and recover emotionally. That's the most important thing!
