Garden and Trek

To Celebrate Katie being out of school for the summer, we took Katie out today. I know, I know, it's SUNDAY Wendy, but it was the ONE day we would all be together. So we went for lunch at Olive Garden. I tried the new Lasagna Rollatini with Chicken. Uhmm...loved the chicken but the stuffed lasagna rolls? I hated them, I felt I should have just got my Gnocchi and chicken, but I am glad I tried it, so I didn't always wonder, should I? Now I know, NO, not for Wendy at all! The chicken was great but is just like the chicken in the gnocchi dish, but the gnocchi and the sauce are WAY better! We got a piece of the Black Tie Mousse cake to all share and it was heaven!!

Then we went and saw Star Trek!! Holy crap, I had gotten to a point where I wasn't sure if I cared if I saw it in the theaters, but am SO glad I did!! It was the BEST Star Trek movie I have ever seen! Not only was it full of action and scifi but it was FUNNY!!! And it opens doors to all sorts of sequels, and NOT copying the originals! That is all I will say so I don' spoil it, but it is true!! And MAN, Karl Urban did a spot on job of McCoy!! And Chris Pine is SO hot as Kirk! And my Heroes bad guy Zachary Quinto ROCKED as Spock!! Plus we get some Leonard Nimoy in there too, and perhaps in some sequels I hope!! So GO see it!! I am going on Tuesday to see Angels & Demons.

That is all for tonight. The situation I have recently been alluding to has not gotten better, and caused a lot of tears and anger tonight, when my family discussed it. And I am so close to tears I can't, not tonight. So, let us focus on my happy tummy and the fact that I LOVED Star Trek and plan on owning my FIRST Star Trek movie ever!!

Now I taped both the Survivor finale and Desperate Housewives finales so I am off to watch them to try and keep me distracted. What do you guys think, were they good enough to distract me?

Hubby's takin me to see the Star Trek this week. Saw Wolverine this last week. Worth the price of the tickie to see a nakie (albeit rather distant) Hugh Jackman (I hope that was him and not a stunt double) bum. Sweet.

I have not seen DH yet but Survivor was good, although predictable. Do you think that since JT and Steven are "so close" that JT shared some of his winnings? I would if I were him.

We ate at Olive Garden on friday night. I was tempted to try the new dish but the Seafood Alfredo was calling my name!!

I guess I will have to see Star Trek--I have heard a lot of good things about it.

I LOVED the Desperate Housewives finale. It will keep your mind off of things for sure!!

Sorry, I just saw your comment about the e-mail. Is there a better way to know when people comment on previous posts so I don't miss something? Sheesh. Anywho, my e-mail is scolby1977@hotmail.com.

Star Trek is getting rave reviews. My dad is a major trekky. I grew up watching all things Star Trek. I guess I'll have to see this one, too.

TV is a savior for me at times. Take Saturday for example. I went to that place in my head I go sometimes. NCIS became my best friend. Thankfully it was on ALL DAY saturday. Nice way to give the head a break.

I might consider seeing Star Trek now. Probably just for Chris Pine though.

I heard the Star Trek movie was AMAZING, so I look forward to seeing it! I'm sorry about things at home...I hope they get better.

Yum dinner sounds good, especially a chocalate dessert! But I could pass on the Star Trek. I have to admit, I don't even know any charactors names except Spok because he has pointy ears or something.

Sounds like a great day out. :)

Katie's home for Summer? I know of some kids who are going to be so jealous that school is out over there already (school holidays work differently over here). I also know of some parents who are going to be relieved that it's not out over here yet. ;)
