Well...It is Here

It is officially the 18th, Grandpa's "anniversary"...I am trying to remember that I always (insane I know) don't consider it the next day UNTIL I wake UP from sleeping. I know, I am weird, what can I say?

I am hoping that I will spend the day with what family is not teaching/working...and can remember only good things while I HAVE to think, get a short but good cry out, and just get through the day. Then it will be the 19th and things can not be even more gloomy...until the 27th, Pop's anniversary. Yeah...it is a ...unusual time of the year at our house. Even New Years' Eve (Noni's anniversary), the start of a New Year can have it's moments. Wow, 2009 looming fast.

I just hope today can be...quick, good, and full of distractions. :) Hey, I am trying. It is all I can do.

I hope your day goes well, Wendy. You better get some good sleep tonight or I swear I'll bop you!
And really, go to the chiropractor. Mine has been helping with my migraines so much!

(((hugs))) Times like these are hard. I'm sure your grandpa, pops and Noni would want you to remember the good times and be happy and have a happy Christmas season.

We have lost a nephew this year...and I was just thinking how strange it will be that he was here last Christmas, but nit this one....as if I need any more excuses to enjoy every little moment! I was filled with grattitude for life...

hope you can find something to learn today from it all and end the day a stronger person!
*hug*

And when you do think of him, try to frame it in terms of how blessed you all were to have him for the time that you did. I think he'd want you to be happy thinking about him, and not sad. That said, anniversaries are hard. So hang in there. I'm thinking of you.

Trying is a good thing. Just keep trying. My mother-in-law died of cancer seven years ago and we always miss her TONS this time of year, so I understand how you are feeling. Keep smiling....and trying :0)
I love the pic of your Christmas tree and ornaments.
